Number One Sentai Gozyuger VS Boonboomger is the 32nd entry in the long-running Super Sentai “VS” series, bringing together the current generation of Number One Sentai Gozyuger and the recently completed Boonboomger team. Rather than placing the two groups in an ordinary crossover battle, the story throws them into a much larger crisis involving parallel universes, dimensional instability and a threat capable of affecting the structure of reality itself. The crisis begins when the Universe Number One monster, Universe No One, triggers a phenomenon known as “Universe Fusion.” As the process spreads, numerous parallel universes begin to overlap and merge. Worlds that were once separate are suddenly connected, creating an unpredictable situation in which different histories, characters and conflicts can collide. The first major encounter takes place on an alien world known as Planet Shaft. Boon Red, Taiya Hando, encounters the Kumamajuu monster Galaxy Circuit Glumer there. The battle takes an unexpected turn when Gozyu Wolf, Hoeru Tono, arrives to assist him. Their meeting brings the two Super Sentai generations together in the middle of an interdimensional crisis. At the same time, another part of the story takes place on Earth during a period when Gozyuger has already encountered Origa Red and is approaching the point where all of the Sentai Rings have been gathered. Universe No One launches an attack, forcing Gozyu Leon and the other members of Gozyuger into action. The five Gozyuger warriors fight back, but their opponent proves far more powerful than expected. The situation becomes even more complicated when Boon Blue, Boon Pink and Boon Black arrive to join the battle. Eight heroes from the two teams now stand together against the same enemy, creating the kind of large-scale crossover confrontation that defines the VS series. Yet even with both teams fighting side by side, Universe No One remains overwhelmingly powerful, leaving the heroes in serious danger. Just as the situation reaches a critical point, Hoeru Tono returns to Earth. However, the person who appears is dramatically different from the rough and unruly warrior everyone knows. Instead, Hoeru has become an unusually proper and well-mannered figure, creating an immediate mystery around his sudden transformation. He then enters a new form known as Saint Gozyu Wolf. This new transformation introduces another unpredictable element into the conflict, but Hoeru’s actions do not immediately solve the problem. In an attempt to bring the battle to an end, he sends the eight warriors into another dimension, leaving them separated from the normal battlefield and deepening the mystery surrounding his intentions. As Universe Fusion continues to spread, Gozyuger and Boonboomger learn that the consequences are becoming far more serious than a simple invasion or monster attack. If the merging of parallel universes continues unchecked, the entire world could eventually collapse. The heroes therefore have to find a way to defeat Universe No One before the boundaries between realities disappear completely. The central appeal of the crossover lies in the contrast between the two teams. Gozyuger brings a group of highly individualistic warriors whose relationships often involve competition and conflict, while Boonboomger has its own distinct team identity and approach to heroism. Their first cooperation is therefore not necessarily smooth or predictable. However, the growing dimensional crisis forces them to recognise that neither team can solve the problem alone. The film uses this situation to explore a familiar Super Sentai theme: people from very different backgrounds can become stronger when they learn to trust one another and work toward a shared objective. Alongside the two main teams, the film also expands its connection to Super Sentai history by featuring heroes from previous generations. From Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger—wait, the source specifically identifies Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger—Yamato Kazakiri, also known as Zyuoh Eagle, appears as a guest character. Captain Marvelous, the legendary Gokai Red from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, also joins the crossover, while Satoru Akashi, the leader known as Boukenger Red from GoGo Sentai Boukenger, makes another important appearance. Their presence gives the film an additional sense of continuity, connecting the new generation of heroes with the long history of Super Sentai Red warriors. The result is a crossover built around more than nostalgia. The returning heroes become part of a story in which multiple generations and multiple realities are forced into the same conflict. With Universe No One continuing to accelerate Universe Fusion, Gozyuger and Boonboomger must overcome their differences, survive the dimensional chaos and discover a way to restore the separation between worlds. The mystery surrounding Hoeru’s transformation into Saint Gozyu Wolf adds another layer of uncertainty, while the appearance of legendary Red warriors raises the scale of the confrontation even further. Combining action, science-fiction fantasy, dimensional adventure, team conflict and Super Sentai legacy, Gozyuger VS Boonboomger delivers a crossover where the boundaries between different generations are literally breaking apart. The biggest question is whether these two very different teams can learn to fight as one before the fusion of parallel universes destroys the world they are trying to protect.
