卻說夏日過半，榮國府園中景色仍然繁盛。湖邊荷葉層層，荷花點點，遠處柳枝低垂，隨風輕動。白日裡蟬聲不絕，入夜之後，園中卻顯得格外寧靜。

這一日夜裡，月色格外明亮。月光照在湖面之上，水影微動，彷彿碎銀鋪開。亭台樓閣在月光中輪廓柔和，整個花園顯得如夢似幻。

賈寶玉用過晚膳，心中無事，便信步走入園中。

他沿著石徑來到湖邊，只見湖面月影清晰，幾朵荷花在夜色中半開半合。微風吹來，荷葉輕輕搖動。

寶玉站在湖邊，看著水中月影，忽然低聲說道：「這樣的月色，倒像畫中景一般。」

正當他出神時，遠處傳來輕輕腳步聲。

寶玉回頭一看，原來是林黛玉。

黛玉似乎也是出來散步，手中輕握一把團扇。她見寶玉站在湖邊，便走上前來。

黛玉說：「今晚月色倒好。」

寶玉笑道：「正因如此，我才到園中走走。」

兩人一同走到湖邊小亭坐下。亭中石桌潔淨，月光透過樹影落在桌面之上。

湖面偶有微風吹過，水影輕輕晃動。

寶玉望著月光說：「如此景色，若能常見，倒也不負此生。」

黛玉淡淡一笑：「月色雖好，也只一夜。」

寶玉說：「妹妹總說些令人感慨的話。」

黛玉望著湖面，輕聲說：「世間美景，大多如此。」

寶玉沉默片刻，忽然說：「妹妹可曾想過，若有一天我們各自離開這園子，會如何？」

黛玉微微一怔。

她看著遠處湖水，過了一會兒才說：「人各有命，終究難免離散。」

寶玉聽了，心中忽然生出一種說不出的感覺。

他低聲說：「我倒希望這園子永遠如此。」

黛玉輕輕一笑：「世間哪有不變之事。」

兩人一時沉默。月光落在湖面上，水影微微晃動。

遠處傳來夜鳥聲音，園中顯得格外清幽。

過了一會兒，黛玉說：「天色晚了。」

寶玉點頭。

兩人起身離開亭子，沿著石徑慢慢往府中走去。

月光仍然照在湖面與花木之上，整座榮國府顯得安靜而美麗。

然而在這樣寧靜的夜色之中，關於未來的問題已經悄然出現。那些看似隨意的談話，也許在多年之後回想起來，才會發現其中的深意。

榮國府依舊繁華，園中花木依舊盛開。但命運的水流，正如湖面月影一般，在不知不覺中悄然流動。

There is nothing to distract.

And in that absence, something becomes clear.

Not suddenly—
but inevitably.

The feeling that has been forming, shifting, and returning now takes shape.

No longer hidden within passing moments,
it begins to feel continuous.

Baoyu senses it as a presence he cannot escape, something that follows him even in stillness.

Daiyu understands it as something else.

Not something new—
but something that has finally been recognized.

Because emotion does not always need expression to exist.

Sometimes, it only needs silence.

And in that silence,
it becomes undeniable.
