English Version
Osomatsu-san: The Human Trashification Project!!!!!? is a live-action comedy that blends fantasy, parody, and adventure while staying faithful to the outrageous spirit of the original franchise. The story follows the Matsuno sextuplets, six adult brothers who remain unemployed and spend their days relying on their parents rather than pursuing meaningful careers. Their irresponsible lifestyle has always been viewed as embarrassing, but everything changes overnight when society mysteriously begins praising exactly those qualities. Unknown to the public, a radical scientific experiment known as the “Human Trashification Project” is transforming people’s values, convincing everyone that the lazier, more selfish, and more irresponsible a person becomes, the more admirable they are. As this bizarre ideology spreads, common sense slowly disappears and society begins to celebrate behavior that was once considered unacceptable. While the rest of the world embraces the new standard, a brilliant researcher determined to restore balance seeks help from the only people uniquely suited to understand such absurdity—the Matsuno brothers themselves. Reluctantly joining forces, the six siblings find themselves facing a dangerous mastermind whose invention threatens humanity itself. Throughout the journey, the brothers constantly argue, compete for attention, and create one ridiculous situation after another, delivering the fast-paced comedy and unpredictable humor that fans expect from the series. Beyond its outrageous jokes and exaggerated performances, the film also serves as a playful satire of modern society, questioning how public opinion, popularity, and shifting values can influence the way people define success and personal worth. Filled with energetic performances, visual gags, pop-culture references, and self-aware comedy, the movie expands the universe of Osomatsu-san while preserving the franchise’s unmistakable chaotic charm. The result is an entertaining adventure that balances laugh-out-loud comedy with clever social commentary beneath its intentionally ridiculous premise.
