English Version
Anpanman: Pantan and the Promised Star is the 37th theatrical feature in the beloved Anpanman franchise created by Takashi Yanase. Directed by Hiroyuki Yano, the film introduces a brand-new character while continuing the series’ tradition of delivering meaningful lessons through imaginative adventures. The story follows Pantan, a traveling red panda determined to fulfill an important promise once made to the explorer Nyackle. His destination is the legendary Rainbow Star, where a treasured secret is said to await. Before reaching his goal, however, Pantan is unexpectedly sprayed by Baikinman’s mysterious baby spray, transforming him into a young child and leaving him feeling powerless and discouraged. Fortunately, Anpanman and his friends come to his rescue, welcoming him with kindness and encouraging him to continue believing in himself. As Pantan shares the regret he carries for failing to keep his promise, Uncle Jam gently reminds him that the true value of a promise lies not only in achieving the goal but in sincerely continuing to honor one’s commitment. Inspired by these words, Pantan regains the courage to continue his adventure, joined by Cream Panda, who eagerly becomes his traveling companion. Together they encounter obstacles, unexpected dangers, and Baikinman’s constant attempts to interfere with their journey, discovering that friendship and perseverance can overcome even the greatest challenges. Beyond its colorful animation and entertaining action, the film highlights universal themes such as responsibility, trust, determination, and the importance of keeping one’s word. As with previous entries in the series, the story is designed to inspire younger audiences while offering heartfelt messages that resonate with viewers of every generation. Filled with warmth, humor, memorable characters, and uplifting moments, Anpanman: Pantan and the Promised Star reminds audiences that promises made with sincerity can become the guiding light that leads people toward hope and brighter futures.
