English Version
As dawn slowly brightens the garden, traces of last night’s rain still remain upon the stone pathways, reflecting the pale glow of early morning light. A cool breeze drifts across the lake, carrying with it a quiet softness that feels almost weightless. Standing beneath the corridor, Baoyu watches the sky gradually turn brighter and suddenly realizes that the true gift of time is not forgetting, but learning how to remember without pain. The emotions that once felt impossible to release no longer resemble wounds. Instead they have become gentle marks left upon his life, still present yet no longer heavy. They remain quietly within him like morning light resting softly across still water. Slowly he understands that real growth rarely comes from gaining everything one once desired. It comes from accepting that certain things can never return to what they once were, and still choosing to face the future with kindness. Daiyu feels a similar peace during the quiet morning. When she opens the window, she sees droplets of rain resting upon leaves and flower petals while the air remains so still she can hear the wind moving faintly through distant branches. In that moment she realizes that many things people fear losing never truly disappear. They simply change form and continue existing within memory and time. She no longer searches for definite answers or asks whether emotions remain exactly as they once did. At last she understands that what is truly important never requires proof. It exists naturally within life itself, quietly offering strength during ordinary days long after moments have passed. The distance between them feels especially calm beneath the morning light. They still speak little and make no effort to change the nature of what remains between them, yet something softer now exists there, something only years can create. It is neither forgetting nor indifference, but the maturity that comes from finally accepting everything that has happened and allowing it to remain peacefully where it belongs. When they meet briefly within the garden, there is no longer hesitation or sorrow in their eyes. Instead there is a quiet understanding, as though both know that the moments they once shared have already become inseparable from their lives. Baoyu gradually realizes that not every regret must become complete in order to hold meaning. Some things become unforgettable precisely because they remain unfinished. Words left unspoken and emotions that could not remain unchanged slowly settle within time until they become part of the gentleness a person carries forward. He no longer fears memory or tries to escape the moments that once caused sadness, because he finally understands that pain does not come from remembering, but from refusing to accept what truly existed. Daiyu discovers an even deeper calmness as morning wind moves through the garden. She begins to believe that life does not need perfect endings to become meaningful. What matters most is having once loved sincerely, felt deeply, and walked beside another person for a time. Even after many years those emotions continue glowing quietly within the heart like the first light of dawn. Fate itself no longer resembles an unpredictable storm. Instead it feels like sunlight reflecting gently across water, calm and steady. It no longer rushes to take things away or force change upon people. Instead it allows every memory and emotion that once existed to slowly become part of life itself. And within that soft light, people finally learn how to continue forward beside their past, becoming gentler and more peaceful versions of themselves with each passing day.
