卻說夏日將盡，榮國府園中景色依然繁盛。湖邊荷花仍開，柳枝垂水，花徑深處偶有晚風吹過。白日裡蟬聲不絕，入夜之後，整座花園卻顯得格外清幽。

這一日夜裡，月色微明。天空雲影稀薄，月光落在湖面之上，水波輕動，如銀光碎散。

賈寶玉夜裡難以入睡，便披衣出門，到園中散步。

他沿著石徑慢慢走到湖邊，只見荷葉在夜風中輕輕搖動。遠處亭台在月色中顯得朦朧，整個園子如夢一般。

寶玉停在湖橋之上，看著水中月影，不禁輕聲說道：「如此景色，若能常見，倒不負此生。」

正當他出神之時，遠處傳來輕輕腳步聲。

寶玉回頭一看，只見林黛玉正沿著小徑走來。

黛玉似乎也是夜裡難眠。她走到橋邊，看著湖面說：「今晚月色倒清。」

寶玉笑道：「正因如此，我才出來走走。」

兩人一同站在橋上。湖面水影晃動，月光映在荷葉之間。

寶玉說：「近日總覺得園中景色愈發安靜。」

黛玉輕聲說：「夏將盡，花木自然沉靜。」

寶玉望著遠處亭台，忽然說：「妹妹可曾想過，若有一日我們離開此園，會不會想起這些景色？」

黛玉微微一怔。

她望著湖面月影，沉默片刻才說：「世間之事，本就難久。」

寶玉說：「可我總覺得，此處像另一個世界。」

黛玉淡淡一笑：「再美的地方，也只是暫住。」

寶玉聽了，心中忽然生出一種說不出的感覺。

夜風輕輕吹過，柳枝在水面上劃出細細波紋。遠處夜鳥鳴聲清亮。

兩人一時無語，只靜靜看著湖面。

過了一會兒，黛玉輕聲說：「天色晚了。」

寶玉點頭。

兩人沿著石徑慢慢往府中走去。月光落在花徑之上，花影搖動。

榮國府依然燈火明亮，亭台樓閣在夜色之中顯得安靜而壯麗。

然而在這樣的月夜裡，人心中的情思卻如湖面水影一般，輕輕晃動。

那些在橋邊說過的話，看似平常，卻像夜色中的月光一樣，悄悄留在記憶之中。

而這座繁華的花園，也正靜靜等待著未來更多的故事與變化。

Separation does not always begin with departure.

Sometimes, it begins with a shift.

In Chapter 30, the night moves toward its end. The moon fades, shadows stretch and dissolve, and the world changes almost without being noticed.

Nothing is broken.

Nothing is said.

And yet, something is different.

What once felt close now feels slightly distant—not absent, but no longer fully present.

The change is quiet.

Almost too quiet to name.

Baoyu senses it as a subtle loss, something slipping away without leaving a clear trace.

Daiyu understands it more deeply.

She sees that distance does not require space.

It can exist within the same moment,
within the same place.

Because once feeling begins to shift,
closeness is no longer certain.

And in that uncertainty,
separation has already begun.
