Cemeteries grow unusually quiet at night, the air still, the lights dim. Some believe they are not only places of rest, but spaces where something continues quietly after dark.

English Version
I wasn’t planning to stop that night, the cemetery was just there along the road, the gate slightly open, the lights inside dim but steady, I slowed down without knowing why and looked in, rows of headstones arranged in quiet order, everything still, too still, not empty, but as if nothing was allowed to move, I stepped inside, just a few steps past the entrance, the air felt colder, heavier, like it held something in place, I didn’t go far, I just stood there and looked, the headstones all seemed the same, nothing out of place, but after a while, something felt different, not something I could point to, just a sense that the arrangement wasn’t exactly how I first saw it, I looked again, carefully this time, and still, everything appeared unchanged, but the feeling didn’t go away, I stayed still, and that’s when I heard something behind me, not footsteps, not quite, more like something brushing across the ground, slow, dragging, I didn’t turn around, I knew if I did, I would see nothing, but I also knew something was there, I waited, the sound stopped, just behind me, close enough to feel, but not close enough to touch, I took a slow step forward and looked at the rows again, and that’s when I noticed it, one of the headstones was slightly different, not broken, not fallen, just… closer, only by a small distance, barely enough to notice, but enough that I knew it hadn’t been like that before, I didn’t go near it, I just stared, trying to remember its position, trying to be sure, but the longer I looked, the less certain I became, I stepped back, slowly, keeping my eyes on the same spot, then I turned and walked toward the gate, I didn’t look behind me, I didn’t want to confirm anything, I just left, once I was outside, everything felt normal again, the air lighter, the sounds returning, as if nothing had happened, but in the days after, every time I passed by, I found myself looking in, and sometimes, just for a moment, I would feel it again, that something inside wasn’t fixed, that something had moved, and I couldn’t remember if it had always been there
