English Version
In an alternate early twentieth century, Kyoto never experiences an electrical revolution. Steam engines dominate every street, factories fill the sky with smoke, and progress seems forever trapped in iron and coal. Yet one young dreamer refuses to believe that this is humanity’s final destination. Kihachi Sakamoto once shared an ambitious vision with his older brother, filling a notebook known as the Twentieth Century Electric Catalogue with impossible inventions inspired by a future powered by electricity. After tragedy tears that dream apart, Kiihachi grows distant from the hopeful child he once was. Everything changes when he crosses paths with Inako Momokawa, a compassionate girl carrying regrets of her own. While Kiihachi has learned to doubt, Inako chooses to trust, and together they discover that the mysterious catalogue may hold the key not only to forgotten inventions but also to healing old wounds. Their adventure leads them across a beautifully imagined Kyoto where inventors, merchants, scholars, and rivals all pursue different visions of progress. Every encounter challenges their beliefs about destiny, technology, and human connection.
