The palace, already weakened by internal chaos, offers little resistance. Officials are fearful, and authority has collapsed. In this vacuum, Dong Zhuo rises as the dominant power.

Though rough in appearance and violent in temperament, Dong Zhuo is politically calculating. He understands one key truth: to control the empire, he must control the emperor.

Step by step, he consolidates power.

At the time, the young Emperor Liu Bian lacks strength and authority. Dong Zhuo quickly deems him unfit to serve his ambitions.
